Job Description
Rush University Medical Center invites applications for an accomplished Neurosurgeon, Neuro-Oncology to lead and expand a robust brain tumor clinical practice and research program. The successful candidate will bridge the gap between bench and bedside by successfully initiating early-phase clinical trials, mentoring junior faculty and residents, and driving translational innovation. Responsibilities
• Lead and expand a robust brain tumor clinical practice and research program
• Bridge the gap between bench and bedside by successfully initiating early-phase clinical trials and expanding the existing clinical trials portfolio
• Foster deep multidisciplinary collaboration across the Rush University System for Health
• Drive translational and clinical innovation
• Expand clinical capacity
• Mentor junior faculty and residents
• Cement Rush's leadership in complex brain tumor care
Compensation
• $728,000 to $1,097,325 / Year (TCC)
• Includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances
• Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets

Requirements
• MD or MD/PhD (or equivalent)
• Completion of an accredited neurosurgery residency training program
• Dedicated fellowship in surgical neuro-oncology (preferred)
• Board-certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons (ABNS)
• Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the State of Illinois
• A proven history of peer-reviewed publications, a strong portfolio of translational/clinical research, and a demonstrated ability to secure sustained extramural research funding
• Demonstrated leadership in clinical care, resident and fellow education, and institutional service
• No visa sponsorship available
