Company Description Northern Providence Investments (NPI) is an institutional arranger and administrative/agency platform that operates through a collaborative service-provider model. Role Description The Investor Relations Officer in the Shareholder Relations and Corporate Affairs Department (#00334-02) is a full-time, on-site role based in Montreal, QC. The role involves managing relationships with investors and shareholders, preparing and reviewing investor communications, and coordinating responses to inquiries from current and prospective investors. The individual will support the development of investor relations strategies, assist in drafting presentations and reports, and contribute to disclosures and briefing materials related to structured investment programs. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring market and portfolio information, analyzing financial data to support investor messaging, collaborating with finance and accounting teams, and ensuring that communications align with NPI’s Socially Responsible Principles and governance standards.
Qualifications
- Strong Investor Relations skills, including stakeholder communication, shareholder engagement, and preparation of investor materials.
- Robust Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret complex data, assess trends, and support decision-making.
- Solid understanding of Finance, capital markets, and structured investment products.
- Proficiency in Financial Modeling for scenario analysis, valuation, and performance reporting.
- Knowledge of Accounting principles and financial statements to support accurate and consistent disclosures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; additional proficiency in French is an asset.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and maintain professional relationships with institutional stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field; relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are an advantage.
- Experience in institutional investments, structured finance, or ESG-focused environments is beneficial.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and commitment to responsible and transparent corporate practices.
