Summary
The Research Database Coordinator III (RDC III) is a highly skilled role responsible for protocol specific data requirements for multiple, diverse and complex research projects, while ensuring data requirements are in alignment with good clinical practice according to Federal regulations. The RDC performs core support and additional responsibilities including higher patient volume and/or higher trial complexity.
Research Data Coordinator III
The Research Database Coordinator III (RDC III) is a highly skilled role responsible for protocol specific data requirements for multiple, diverse and complex research projects, while ensuring data requirements are in alignment with good clinical practice according to Federal regulations. The RDC performs core support and additional responsibilities including higher patient volume and/or higher trial complexity. Workload is more complex and comprehensive and the RDC works independently maintaining the highest level of expertise to review and synthesize information from medical records (clinic notes, pathology reports, radiology reports, patient questionnaires, etc.) to extract industry, cooperative, and investigator-initiated trial data as specified by assigned research protocols. The Research Data Coordinator (RDC) III is the third level in the data coordinator career path.
Requirements
Minimum Education
Associate's Degree preferred; High School Diploma/GED may be considered*
• In lieu of an Associate's Degree, a High School diploma/GED with Four (4) years of research data management experience may be considered Preferred Licensure: SOCRA/ACRP or equivalent
Minimum Experience
Two (2) years of research data management experience
Training Required: Clinical trial management systems and electronic medical record (EMR) experience required. In this senior role, the incumbent understands the implications of the work and makes recommendations for solutions, while completing tasks in resourceful and effective methods. The position performs assigned tasks independently and works autonomously with coordinators and the monitors. It resolves data queries without routine guidance and provides assistance in completion of various source documents. This person must possess highly effective verbal and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills with staff and other health care professionals. They must have ability to prioritize and pace one’s-self when working under the pressure of deadlines and high work volume. They will successfully demonstrate competency by meeting established competency guideline/check list annually. The person should be an expert in the use of EMR systems, clinical trial management systems and other various data capture/reporting systems. They must be able to interpret all components of the medical record and maintain confidentiality requirements as well as security of subject data. Excellent oral and written communication skills are needed. They must be comfortable talking to physicians and other health care professionals as well as training other data coordinators. The person works independently under minimal supervision from their Manager/Supervisor.
Salary Range
$24.45 - $37.31
Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
