Job Description

The position will focus primarily in three areas: membership, fundraising and awareness/outreach. Membership: The manager develops and implements membership recruitment and support strategies for ASDSO. These strategies raise visibility and revenue for ASDSO initiatives, products and services. This person will serve to strengthen ASDSO membership recruitment and retention and provide services to members. Fundraising: The job includes management of all fundraising/sales programs such as trade shows, donation programs, grants search and advertising. Awareness/Outreach: The job includes overseeing creative campaigns for mission awareness. Several campaigns are underway and need a more focused level of management support. We also want to increase our messaging about dam safety to a wide array of audiences through compelling social media initiatives. This person will help us expand our digital footprint and oversee our social communications efforts. Other projects could be added as our mission and strategies expand.

At least 3 years of experience in one or more of these areas: association management, marketing, membership services, digital/social media strategies, media/advertising relations, and public affairs. Must have demonstrated success in building brand awareness and membership loyalty and using marketing to support programmatic outcomes. The ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis is essential. Must have excellent written and verbal communications skills and demonstrated project management skills. Working knowledge of digital marketing/media. Familiarity with project management tools.
