Role Overview: The Medication Assistant (MA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision. Responsibilities include administering medications as delegated, assisting with activities such as bathing, grooming, and mobility, and documenting care outcomes. The MA supports residents' physical and psychological needs, promotes positive dining experiences, and participates in wellness and recreational programs.

Key Duties

• Deliver age-appropriate personal care and support residents' activities of daily living.
• Administer prescribed medications within scope of practice and document outcomes.
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and mobility exercises.
• Gather vital signs and collect non-invasive fluid specimens.
• Support housekeeping, laundry, and nutritional needs.
• Communicate resident condition changes to nursing staff.
• Encourage participation in wellness and recreational activities.
• Participate in departmental committees as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred; minimum age of 18.
• Prior experience in long-term care or healthcare preferred.
• Completion of state-specific Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Medication Aide courses if applicable.
• Annual continuing education and certification maintenance.
• Strong communication, compassion, and attention to detail.
