- Oncology team is growing across commercial, medical affairs and technical operations, and this role offers the chance to play an important part in making a potentially revolutionary product available to patients. ### Where you will work
Location: Parsippany, New Jersey. This is a field-based role and requires a willingness to travel 60 % or more of the time.
### What the role involves
You will represent Ferring as a primary field medical contact and support the advancement of scientific knowledge and educational programs in Uro
- Oncology/Bladder Cancer. Day-to-day activities include presenting accurate, unbiased, balanced and timely answers to unsolicited information requests about bladder cancer, establishing scientific and clinical relationships with key opinion leaders and academic centers, and providing study support from protocol and budget development through submission and completion for Phase IV studies and Investigator Initiated Trials (IIT’s).
Typical activities you will perform include:
- Providing continuing field scientific support and training for sales and Corporate Account Managers (CAM’s).
- Documenting and forwarding reports of adverse events to appropriate personnel.
- Keeping abreast of medical and scientific developments in the assigned therapeutic area and proactively reporting competitive activities or events that can influence the use of product(s).
- Developing and delivering scientific/educational programs including, but not limited to, formulary presentations for managed care and related organizations.
- Assisting Medical Affairs and agency personnel in the development of presentations and slide kits.
- Actively participating in advisory boards, speaker training events, clinical investigator meetings, regional, national and international meetings when required.
- Assisting in processing of field requests for medical education funding and participating in key medical and scientific conferences by staffing medical information booths, gathering competitive intelligence, and attending scientific sessions.
### Who we’re looking for
Requirements for the role include a Doctorate degree (D.V.M., M.D., Ph.D. or Pharm .D). in biological sciences and a minimum of 2 years previous MSL Experience. Experience in Uro
- Oncology, Urology or Oncology is required as a practicing MSL. You must be able to apply technical expertise and solutions to diverse/individualized situations and demonstrate excellent communication & presentation skills.
A working knowledge of FDA and OIG requirements as well as clinical trial design and statistics is required. Teamwork skills, networking skills and the confidence to interact with senior experts on a peer-to-peer level, critical data analysis skills, a willingness to keep up to date with scientific literature, and a high level of emotional intelligence to work effectively with stakeholders are all expected.
### Compensation, incentives and benefits
The base salary range for this role is $174,900 to $200,000, which is the reasonable estimate of the base compensation for this role. The actual amount paid may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, education and primary work location. Additional compensation for this role will be provided based on competitive annual incentive compensation targets in the form of an annual bonus - payouts are based on individual and company performance.
