Medical Oncologist / Hematologist
Board Certified / Board Eligible
Position Summary
A growing healthcare organization in Central and Northern Michigan is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Medical Oncologist/Hematologist to help expand and restore vital cancer care services to the community. This role offers access to comprehensive oncology resources and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary cancer care team.
The program emphasizes individualized, patient-centered care supported by advanced clinical trials, precision medicine, and supportive therapies focused on quality of life and side-effect management.
Program Highlights
• Multidisciplinary cancer care with collaboration across specialties, including radiation oncology, surgical oncology, and dermatologic oncology
• Active Tumor Board participation
• On-site ambulatory surgery center for chemotherapy on the same floor as the clinic
• Dedicated outpatient oncology pharmacist preparing chemotherapy medications onsite
• Strong referral base with collaboration from regional primary care providers
• Robust clinical research and clinical trial opportunities
• Accredited cancer program with access to national oncology research networks and trials
Responsibilities
• Provide full-scope Medical Oncology and Hematology care
• Manage a mix of new and established oncology patients
• Average of approximately 30 new patients per month
• Participate in multidisciplinary care planning and tumor boards
• Flexible scheduling with potential travel to satellite oncology clinics as needed
