Job Description
Locum Medical Oncologist Opportunity – Indiana
A well-established regional healthcare system in Indiana is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Medical Oncologist for a locum tenens assignment beginning September 1, 2026.
Assignment Details
•
Start Date: September 1, 2026
• Specialty: Medical Oncology
• Location: Indiana
• Schedule:•
Monday–Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• 1-hour unpaid lunch
• Night call: Schedule to be determined
• Weekend call: Schedule to be determined•
Call rotation includes serving as primary and backup for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
• While on call, physicians are expected to be available by phone. APPs will notify the physician if in-person hospital coverage is required.
• Telemedicine: Not available
Practice Locations
The provider will travel between multiple outpatient locations, including:
•
Wednesday clinic coverage at a satellite location
• Twice-monthly clinic coverage (1st and 3rd Thursdays) at an additional satellite location
Additional Expectations
•
Provider will complete all patient order entry.
• Electronic timekeeping is required through the facility's designated time-entry platform.

Candidate Requirements
•
Active Indiana medical license or Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) eligibility
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Board certification must be obtained within five years of residency completion
• BLS required for all specialties
• ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges
• Influenza vaccination required (medical or religious exemption accepted)
• COVID-19 vaccination required (medical or religious exemption accepted)
• Case logs required
