Cooper University Health Care is seeking a visionary Medical Oncologist & Director of Clinical Research to lead and expand the clinical trial portfolio at MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper. This unique leadership opportunity involves establishing a Phase 1 clinical trials program, strengthening collaborations with MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and pharmaceutical partners, and fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to advance cutting-edge cancer research.

Responsibilities
• Develop and implement a strategic plan to expand the clinical trial portfolio
• Lead the establishment of a Phase 1 clinical trials program
• Enhance clinical trial enrollment and streamline trial operations
• Strengthen research partnerships with MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston
• Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical companies and industry sponsors
• Foster collaboration with surgical oncology, radiation oncology, and the Camden Cancer Research Collaborative
• Ensure compliance with GCP (Good Clinical Practice) guidelines and institutional policies
• Mentor and guide faculty, fellows, and research staff in clinical trial design, execution, and publication

Requirements
• MD or DO with board certification in Medical Oncology
• Strong background in clinical trial leadership
• Experience in Phase 1 clinical research (preferred)
• Established track record of collaboration with pharmaceutical sponsors and industry partners
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary research environment, including engagement with surgical and translational research teams
• Experience in academic research, including publications and grant funding (highly desirable)
