Job Description
The Department of Neurosurgery at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking an Open Rank Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor of Clinical Practice to serve as a medical neuro-oncologist within its new Brain Tumor Center. This full-time faculty position involves teaching, clinical, research, and service responsibilities, working within a multidisciplinary team to provide state-of-the-art care and access to clinical trials for neuro-oncology patients. The role emphasizes comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient and family needs.
Practice Info
• Work within a newly minted Brain Tumor Center.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including neurosurgeons, radiation oncologists, neuropathologists, and neuroradiologists.
• Neuro-Oncology patients are supported by dieticians, social work, physical medicine, and neuropsychological services.
• The Department of Neurosurgery has 32 MD faculty, 32 Advanced Practice Providers, and 15 Research faculty.
• The department offers an ACGME approved residency program in Neurosurgery and one-year fellowships in all specialties for advanced training.
• Work location is onsite at one of our community practices in the southern or northern Front Range area.
Responsibilities
• Provide acute and chronic outpatient care of Neuro-Oncology patients, including administration of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, disease-modifying therapy, and health maintenance care.
• Conduct inpatient consultations for acute or chronic Neuro-Oncology patients at the University of Colorado Hospital, including documentation and monitoring for adverse events related to therapeutics.
• Participate in clinical trials and maintain research trainings.
• Provide supervision and training for advanced practice providers, medical students, residents, and fellows in clinics and in the hospital setting.
• Support, share, attend, and engage in continual learning and development among nursing staff, other faculty and advanced practice providers, pharmacy staff, medical students, and neurology residents and fellows.
• Present lectures to patients and others regarding neurological conditions and treatments.
• Perform data entry into hospital systems, committee work, and projects aimed at improving the specialty and department mission.
• Maintain ongoing CME.
Compensation
• HIRING RANGE: Assistant Professor - $200,000 - $320,000
• HIRING RANGE: Associate Professor- $225,000 - $320,000
• HIRING RANGE: Professor- $250,000 - $320,000
• Exclusive of incentive pay or bonus.
• This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.

• For Associate Professor: A scholarly and academic record consistent with appointment at the Associate Professor level in the School of Medicine.
• For Professor: Neuro-oncology Board Certified.
• For Professor: A record of ongoing research activity and funding.
• For Professor: A scholarly and academic record consistent with appointment at the Professor level in the School of Medicine.
• Preferred: Eligible to obtain other states' unrestricted medical licenses, if necessary.
