Job Description



Vitalant is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist I or Medical Lab Generalist dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Medical Laboratory Scientist /Generalist is vital. Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by contributing to laboratory operations. You will manage reagents, supplies, and inventory, input patient data, and provide exceptional customer service.



What To Expect



Schedule: Evenings 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM with W/E rotation (w/e shift differential)



Training: Days



Base Wage: $21.63-$32.17



Location: 875 Greentree, Pittsburgh, PA

As a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Generalist, You'll Get To





- Manage Special Red Cell inventory and distribution.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and identify malfunctions.
- Conduct preparation and prequalification of reagents.





Requirements



Medical Lab Generalist





- Must have a Bachelor's degree that meets CLIA requirements (medical sciences, chemistry or biology).
- no experience required.

- $21.63-$22.38 per hour (based on years of relevant experience)





Medical Lab Scientist





- Must have a Bachelor's degree in Medical Lab Science OR have a Bachelor's degree with ASCP Medical Lab Scientist or Blood Bank certification.
- no experience required.
- new Grads welcome!
- $32.17/ hour.
