The Medical Dosimetrist II provides expert knowledge in radiation treatment planning and delivery techniques and works with the radiation oncology team to execute the treatment plan.

Overview Of Requirements
Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor’s degree in physical or biological sciences or experience as a Certified Medical Dosimetrist of at least 18 months.
Experience:
2 years Radiation Oncology, required.
Five years Progressive experience in Radiation Oncology, required.
Licensure/Certification: Medical Dosimetry Certification, required.

What You'll Do
Novant Health is currently seeking a staff Dosimetrist I or Dosimetrist II adding to a team of 5 existing Dosimetrists and 1 lead Dosimetrist at Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. The main center comprises of four Varian True Beam Linacs and a Siemens Somatom CT scanner. An additional Siemens CT scanner is currently being installed. VisonRT is used for SGRT. This center currently utilizes Varian Eclipse for treatment planning, ARIA for Record and Verify, RapidPlan, Rapid Arc Dynamic and several RadFormation products including Clear Check, Auto Contour, EZfluence, and Clear Calc. There are 6 Medical Physicists and 5 Radiation Oncologists for the center. This is a Hybrid position (currently our dosimetrist work 4 days remote and 1 day on-site).
The ideal candidate would hold a Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification and have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Dosimetrist; however, candidates with less experience will be considered.
