Role Description This full-time, on-site Medical Dosimetrist role is based at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, AR. The Medical Dosimetrist collaborates closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists to design and calculate accurate, individualized radiation treatment plans. Daily responsibilities include creating 3D and advanced treatment plans, performing dose calculations, and using treatment planning systems to optimize radiation delivery while protecting healthy tissue. The role involves verifying plans, supporting quality assurance procedures, and documenting all calculations and treatment parameters in accordance with departmental policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated proficiency in Treatment Planning and Dosimetry for radiation oncology patients.
• Strong foundation in Medical Physics concepts and practical application in clinical settings.
• Knowledge of Radiation principles, safety standards, and regulatory compliance in oncology practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in physical or biological sciences, Radiation Therapy, Medical Dosimetry, Medical Physics, or a related field is required; and posses a CMD (certification in Medical Dosimetry). Together with either of these credentials, the applicant also demonstrates completion of two or more years of work experience in medical dosimetry
