Job Description

This Medical Affairs hire will help to lead medical vision and strategy for a designated therapeutic area, ensuring alignment across product development, launch, and lifecycle activities. This role provides scientific leadership, guides evidence-generation initiatives, and drives engagement with key internal and external stakeholders to support organizational objectives and patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership
• Develop and execute integrated medical strategies across the product lifecycle.
• Align scientific communications, evidence planning, and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Serve as a strategic medical advisor to cross-functional teams and senior leadership.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Partner with Commercial, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Legal, and Compliance teams to achieve shared objectives.
• Provide medical leadership for launch readiness, lifecycle management, and strategic planning.
• Assess opportunities, risks, and competitive dynamics to inform decision-making.

Scientific & External Engagement
• Guide medical evidence-generation activities, including post-approval studies, registries, and investigator-sponsored research.
• Maintain strong relationships with key experts, investigators, professional organizations, and patient advocacy groups.
• Lead scientific exchange, advisory boards, and medical education initiatives.

Team Leadership
• Provide leadership across medical teams through direct and matrix management.
• Mentor and develop talent while fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
• Support organizational planning and capability development.

Qualifications:
• MD (or equivalent) with significant Medical Affairs leadership experience.
• Proven success developing and executing medical strategy across launch and lifecycle stages.
• Strong experience leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated success engaging external scientific leaders and organizations.
• Experience overseeing evidence-generation and post-marketing research activities.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
• Ability to travel as required for medical and scientific engagements.
