Masker

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performs basic masking per drawings, specifications, & work instructions.
• Applies masking materials per drawings & specifications to protect critical surfaces.
• Prepares parts for chemical processing, coating, or painting.
• Identifies coating keep-out zones & critical features.
• Performs hot wash duties.
• Conducts visual inspection for surface defects, completeness, & orientation.
• Maintains clean & organized work areas & tools.
• Follows all safety, quality, & environmental procedures.
• Completes required production & quality documentation.
• Reports defects, discrepancies, or missing information to Lead or Supervisor.
• Able to maintain a minimal efficiency rate of 80% within the first six months.
• Overtime as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• High school degree or equivalent
• Excellent attention to detail
• Understand paint mixing and disposal
• Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements
• Basic computer skills
• Problem solving abilities
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to get along with co-workers and be a team player
• Understand and obey safety requirements
• Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs
• Specific vision abilities include close and distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
• Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as reach with hands and arms for extended periods of time
• Capable of standing for long periods

Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
