Job description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manual Test Engineer to join our QA team. This role combines traditional manual testing expertise with modern AI-assisted workflows, using tools like Claude and Cursor to accelerate test case design, documentation, and coverage analysis. The ideal candidate is comfortable both executing hands-on manual testing and leveraging AI tools to work faster and more thoroughly.





Key Responsibilities


- Analyze requirements, user stories, and functional specifications to design comprehensive manual test cases
- Use Claude and/or Cursor to generate, refine, and expand test case drafts, edge cases, and test data based on requirements and existing documentation
- Review and validate AI-generated test cases for accuracy, relevance, and completeness before execution
- Execute manual test cases across web, mobile, and/or API interfaces (as applicable)
- Log, track, and verify defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Perform regression, exploratory, smoke, and UAT testing as needed
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to clarify requirements and acceptance criteria
- Maintain and continuously improve test documentation, test plans, and traceability matrices
- Identify opportunities to use AI tooling to reduce manual overhead in test creation and reporting
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, standups, retrospectives)


Required Qualifications


- 5+ years of experience in manual software testing (QA)
- Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC processes
- Practical, hands-on experience using AI tools (Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT, or similar) for generating or assisting with test case creation
- Experience writing clear, structured test cases and bug reports
- Familiarity with test management/defect tracking tools (Jira, TestRail, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Solid understanding of QA methodologies: functional, regression, smoke, UAT, exploratory testing
