Role Description: The Oncology Manager is a full-time, on-site position located in Gulfport, responsible for overseeing daily operations within the oncology service line. This role manages clinical and support staff, coordinates patient flow, and ensures that care is delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with evidence-based standards. The Oncology Manager monitors quality metrics, supports regulatory and accreditation requirements, and implements process improvements to enhance patient experience and outcomes. Responsibilities include collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, managing budgets and resources, overseeing scheduling, supporting staff development and performance evaluations, and addressing operational issues in real time. The role also involves participating in strategic planning for oncology services, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and serving as a key liaison between leadership, staff, and patients.
Qualifications
• Demonstrated oncology or cancer care experience, with a strong understanding of oncology clinical pathways and patient care coordination.
• Proficiency in healthcare operations management, including staffing, workflow optimization, and resource allocation in a clinical setting.
• Experience with quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards relevant to oncology services.
• Strong leadership skills, including team supervision, coaching, conflict resolution, and the ability to build collaborative multidisciplinary relationships.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Comfort with electronic health records and basic healthcare data analysis to track performance indicators and outcomes.
• Ability to work on-site in the Greater Gulfport Area and adapt to a fast-paced patient care environment.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or oncology certification is preferred.
Required Experience: Four (4) years of clinical oncology experience
