Job Description
The Division of Hematology, Oncology & Transplantation (HOT) at the University of Minnesota, in partnership with the Masonic Cancer Center, is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Malignant Hematologist. This position is available at the rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor on the Academic or Clinician Track (non-tenure). The role involves delivering outstanding patient care, contributing to research across hematologic malignancies, and participating in teaching and mentorship.
Practice Info
• Comprehensive Malignant Hematology Program providing advanced care across the full spectrum of hematologic malignancies, including access to cellular therapies, transplantation, and early-phase clinical trials.
• Collaborative Research Environment within the Masonic Cancer Center, with multidisciplinary teams driving discovery in cancer biology, immunotherapy, genome engineering, population sciences, and survivorship.
• Strong partnerships across pediatrics, surgery, radiation oncology, and basic sciences.
• Robust institutional support for developing independent research programs or clinical leadership portfolios.
• Extensive clinical trials infrastructure, shared research cores, biostatistical support, and nationally recognized blood and marrow transplantation and cellular therapy platforms.
Responsibilities
• Provide outstanding clinical care to patients with hematologic malignancies in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Participate in and/or lead clinical, translational, or basic science research programs aligned with institutional priorities.
• Develop, implement, and oversee investigator-initiated and cooperative group clinical trials as appropriate.
• Contribute to teaching and mentorship across undergraduate medical education, graduate medical education, and fellowship training.
• Collaborate with division, department, and cancer center leadership to advance programmatic growth in malignant hematology.
Compensation
• Total salary is market competitive and based on AAMC salary benchmarks.
• Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through M Physicians.
• The base salary range for this position is $270,000 - $465,407 commensurate with experience, qualifications, and cFTE.
• The salary from the University is dependent upon the academic effort of the person hired.

• Strong teaching skills and enthusiasm for academic medicine.
• Evidence of research productivity or interest in developing academic focus (clinical, translational, or basic science).
• Graduate of an accredited ACGME Internal Medicine residency and Hematology fellowship-training program.
• BE/BC in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.
• Licensed or ability to acquire medical license and DEA in the State of Minnesota.
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
• Ability to receive work authorization in the United States from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services and maintain legal status according to the requirements of the VISA.
• Open to visa sponsorship.
