Great company, great team and really great location.Job role / dutiesPlan and coordinate daily transport routes and vehicle allocations, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.Monitor deliveries and respond quickly to delays or operational issuesCommunicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams regarding schedules and updatesEnsure compliance with transport regulations, driver hours, and health & safety requirementsOptimise routes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costsMaintain accurate transport records and planning documentationCoordinate vehicle maintenance schedules and availabilitySupport continuous improvement initiatives within the transport operationUse transport management systems (TMS) and other logistics software effectivelyWork closely with drivers, warehouse teams, and customers to maintain high service standards while optimising routes and transport costs.To be considered or this role you MUST:Have experience in transport planning, logistics, or fleet coordinationBe highly organised and possess good problem-solving skillsHave proven ability working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple prioritiesPossess good geographical knowledge and route-planning abilityBe an excellent written and verbal communicatorBe highly competent in Microsoft Office and transport planning systemsUnderstand driver hours, transport compliance, and health & safety regulationsIdeally possess CPC qualification or knowledge of transport complianceUnderstand logistics KPIs and reportingThis role is being advertised by the Telford office of Ethero, where you will find access to both permanent and temporary employment across a wide range of job sectors covering the whole of Shropshire.
