Job Description
• We are seeking a Radiation Oncology Physician for short-term locums coverage at an acute care facility in Potsdam, NY.• This is a 3-day coverage assignment during the week of May 18, providing support while a permanent provider is on vacation.• The role focuses on outpatient cancer care, including treatment planning and management using radiation therapy.• Ideal for physicians seeking short-term, no-call locums opportunities with a strong daily rate.
Job Responsibilities: • Evaluate patients and diagnose cancer conditions.
• Develop and implement personalized radiation therapy treatment plans.
• Administer radiation therapy and oversee treatment delivery.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Manage side effects related to radiation therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary oncology teams.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR system.
Qualifications: • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Radiation Oncology.
• Active New York State License (in hand).
• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience required.
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Strong communication and clinical skills.
Working Hours: • Locums coverage: Week of May 18 (3 days)
• Preferred: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (flexible)
• Shift options: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• No call required
