Locum Physician (MD) - Hematology and Oncology needed in Cumberland, MD

• Requirements: Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology, BLS.

• Schedule:

• Weekday inpatient rounding in the hospital (approx. 8 hours) and to provide weekend on-call services (24-hour call with possibility for consults).

• 8a-4p Mon-Thursday

• 8a-4p Friday + Night call, then 24hr call coverage Sat/Sunday

• Rounding on oncology inpatients and handling consults

• Average 2-3 calls for consults per day.

• Provider has 24 hours to respond to consult request.

• Average 5-6 calls per on call shift that would require the provider to respond. These would be calls from patients, for example that are on treatment and have questions and they call the on-call provider outside of normal business hours

• AVG Inpatient per day: 2-3

• AVG Admissions per day: 1

• AVG Consults per day: 2

• APP/Midlevel Coverage Available | 8a - 4:30p

• Inpatient consults are seen during the day to allow inpatient rounding or to finish documentation. Our physicians attempt to see inpatients during the blocks but when they have a full schedule, they see the inpatients at the end of the day.
