Physician Assistant | Hematology and Oncology

Role Overview: Provides full-time clinic and hospital-based Hematology and Oncology care in a rural community setting. Manages a patient panel with a focus on solid tumors, benign, and malignant hematology. Participates in inpatient consults, disease-specific and tumor boards, and collaborates with an onsite team of physicians, APPs, and a pharmacist.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver outpatient and inpatient Hematology/Oncology services, including managing patient care and consultations.
• Participate in call rotation, including night and weekend coverage, handling ER and hospital team needs.
• Utilize fully integrated EMR (Epic) for documentation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members and participate in tumor boards.

Qualifications & Skills

• Board Certified or Eligible in Hematology and Oncology.
• Active Pennsylvania Medical License or IMLC paperwork.
• Federal DEA registration required.
• Minimum of 1 year post-training clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology.

Additional Information: Procedures such as biopsies, lumbar punctures, port access, and BMT care are not performed. Onsite support includes infusion centers and radiation oncology. The role demands teamwork, clinical expertise, and compliance with licensing requirements.
