Locum NP

Description . This on-site, contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical practice environment. As a Locum NP or PA in Cardiothoracic Surgery, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality care to patients. You will work closely with surgeons and other healthcare professionals, providing essential support in surgical procedures and post-operative care, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout their healthcare journey. Responsibilities - Assist in pre-operative assessments and evaluations - Provide care during and after surgical procedures - Monitor patient progress and manage post-operative recovery - Collaborate with the surgical team on treatment plans - Document patient information and update medical records - Educate patients and families on post-operative care - Ensure compliance with medical protocols and safety standards - Respond to patient inquiries and provide support as needed Requirements - Associate degree in Nursing or a related field - Valid NP or PA certification and state licensure - Experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery or a relevant clinical setting - Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment - Commitment to patient-centered care - Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred Schedule: 6a-4p Beeper call shifts required, callback is rare First-assist Must do vein harvesting Support Staff: Surgeons, APPs EMR: Cerner Must be board-certified Paid travel & expenses
