Bernstein & Bernstein, LLC is a Columbia, SC law firm serving clients in personal injury, probate and estate administration, real estate, workers' compensation, criminal defense, and corporate law. We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented paralegal/legal secretary to support our attorneys across a variety of practice areas.
Responsibilities May Include
- Provide administrative and legal support to attorneys
- Prepare, organize, and manage real estate closing documents (settlement statements, deeds, loan packages)
- Draft and process probate filings, estate planning documents, and related correspondence
- Manage case files and client communications using MyCase
- Coordinate with clients, courts, and other parties as needed
- Maintain calendars, deadlines, and filing schedules
- Handle general office and administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- Experience as a paralegal or legal secretary preferred
- Proficiency with MyCase (or comparable legal practice management software) preferred
- Proficiency with SoftPro (real estate closing software) preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced office

- Flexible — open to full-time or part-time candidates. This is an in-office position.
