## Position Overview

Help us change lives. At Exact Sciences, we’re helping change how the world prevents, detects and guides treatment for cancer. We give patients and clinicians the clarity needed to make confident decisions when they matter most. Join our team to find a purpose-driven career, an inclusive culture, and robust benefits to support your life while you’re working to help others.

The Lead Medical Science Liaison

- Southeast will act as a medical/clinical educational liaison to key departments within Exact Sciences and will be a member of the medical science liaison (MSL) group within the Precision Oncology business unit. This position is field based and will engage with customers and colleagues in our medical affairs and commercial groups to provide medical and scientific support for our on-market molecular diagnostic products, as well as help launch newer products acquired or developed by Exact Sciences.

### How you'll contribute

You will provide clinical support to guide appropriate test orders and interpretation of test results on specific patient cases and facilitate education of a broad healthcare provider community, such as key opinion leaders (KOL’s), community physicians, and other health care providers (HCP’s) regarding Exact Sciences molecular diagnostic products via in-person or virtual presentations. You will participate in the development and execution of a KOL outreach plan for physicians that manage early-stage and metastatic cancers.

You will support medical-marketing initiatives including conference planning and support, medical education content development, faculty speaker training, sales training reimbursement initiatives, and review of promotional and educational materials. Working with medical directors, you will take complex medical messages and position them to enable clear and concise understanding by both external audiences and partners within Exact Sciences.

You will help develop and execute clinically oriented education and training such as sales training programs, journal clubs, ad hoc literature reviews, and other training venues for new sales hires and new MSLs. Staying abreast of new clinical developments, publications, and market trends will allow you to be a conduit for the greater medical team and other internal teams. You will assist with advisory boards, speaker trainings, external payor reviews, and support preparation and presentation of medical review slides and materials at national sales meetings, pre-conference meetings, and field sales conference calls.

Attendance at, development of summaries for, and presentation of key medical and scientific congresses and cooperative group meetings is expected. You will gather and interpret new clinical data from conferences and literature, as well as competitive intelligence, and report findings back to medical affairs and marketing stakeholders. You will also have responsibility to motivate and inspire employees through coaching, maintain morale, and support employee engagement initiatives while upholding company mission and values.
