Lab Services Associate

What this job involves: This role supports both biology and chemistry labs, performing equipment preventative maintenance (PMs), routine lab maintenance, and keeping designated areas stocked. The position involves collaborating with BMS and JLL colleagues and lab management to maintain a safe and clean environment.



What your day-to-day will look like:




- Perform shipping and receiving duties adhering to US DOT and IATA regulations
- Report abnormalities and unsafe conditions to lab management
- Support laboratory equipment preventative maintenance
- Defrost or decontaminate lab equipment as needed or on schedule
- Perform eyewash station testing
- Stock laboratory supplies, PPE, glassware, and consumables
- Consult with clients on supply chain management
- Fulfill glass wash and autoclave requests
- Manage lab coat collection, transport, and deployment
- Maintain reagent management systems and chemical inventory
- Document maintenance activities in Client's CMMS system
- Escort vendors throughout secured spaces
- Comply with JLL and BMS policies and procedures
- Assist in other lab services operations as needed





Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM



Desired or preferred experience and technical skills:




- Bachelor's degree in life science, biology, chemistry, or 3 years of relevant work experience
- Prior experience with a CMMS
- Proficiency with reagent management systems and chemical inventory management





Required Skills and Experience:




- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting
- Experience with general lab equipment, inventory management, and media preparation
- Familiarity with work order and inventory tracking systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP)
- Knowledge of MS Office suite
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize, manage, and organize time
- Team player committed to customer service in a quality environment
- Capable of performing job functions with minimal supervision
- Physical ability to walk, bend, stoop, reach, lift and carry materials up to 50 pounds, and push or pull furniture weighing 50 pounds or more
