Reporting to the Chief Physicist, these roles provide critical physics support for our Radiation Oncology department. You will be responsible for vital tasks like weekly chart checking, acceptance testing and commissioning of therapy equipment, as well as calibration and Quality Assurance (QA) of therapeutic devices.
Junior Medical Physicist
Required Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Medical Physics or a related field, or a Ph.D. in the same.
• Specialized training in dosimetric techniques and the physics of treatment planning and calibration of linear accelerators.
• Eligible for National Medical Physics - Therapeutic Certification from the American Board of Radiology within 5 years of hiring.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with IMRT QA and HDR.
Junior Medical Physicist Salary Range: Min: $83.21, Max: $131.38
Senior Medical Physicist
Required Qualifications:
• Master's Degree in Medical Physics or related major, or a Ph.D. in the same.
• Upon hire: National Medical Physics - Therapeutic Certification from the American Board of Radiology.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience post-degree, or completion of a clinical medical physics residency program.
Senior Medical Physicist Salary Range: Min: $112.48, Max: $179.83
