Joanna Logan: Laura Yaffe Appointed Associate Director of of Philanthropy, Translation and Innovation at CRUK
Joanna Logan, Director and Founding Partner at Constellate Global Talent, shared a post on LinkedIn:
“Constellate is delighted to announce the appointment of Laura Yaffe as Associate Director of Philanthropy, Translation and Innovation for Cancer Research UK (CRUK).
Laura will lead the fundraising for the Translation and Innovation pillar of CRUK’s £400m More Research, Less Cancer campaign, delivering the fundraising strategy aimed to maximise the potential of technologies, talent and knowledge to drive translation and innovation in cancer research and particularly in the area of Children and Young people’s cancer research.
Laura brings extensive experience in major and principal giving across the higher education and charity sectors. She joins Cancer Research UK from WWF-UK where she was Head of Philanthropy and Principal Gifts and has previously held senior fundraising roles at institutions including the University of Melbourne, Monash University, and King’s College London.
‘We are excited to have Laura join our Philanthropy Directorate leadership team at the crucial moment in the campaign as we build momentum and aim to hit the £250m milestone later this year. Laura’s experience and expertise gained in the UK and internationally will be hugely valuable as we grow our global fundraising activity and maximise our distinct expertise in supporting basic research through to commercial outcomes for patients. I really look forward to working with Laura across our translation and innovation portfolio and particularly on our children and young people’s cancer research programme’, said Chris Gethin, Director of Philanthropy at Cancer Research UK.
