IT Support Technician
- 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
- Minneapolis, MN (On-Site, 40 Hours per Week)

Role Summary
This Level 2 IT Support Technician will provide hands-on technical support for students and employees in an on-site campus environment. The role focuses on resolving escalated hardware, software, application, and network issues, supporting Windows and Mac devices, maintaining accurate service desk documentation, and helping Level 1 student workers troubleshoot and escalate issues effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, application, peripheral, and basic network issues by phone, email, and in person.
- Manage escalated tickets, document troubleshooting activity, prioritize requests, and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Install, configure, deploy, and maintain computers, printers, peripherals, and authorized software.
- Mentor Level 1 student workers on troubleshooting, documentation, and escalation procedures.
- Maintain technical procedures and knowledge-base documentation for new, recurring, and critical issues.
Required Experience
- Hands-on experience providing desktop, help desk, or technical support; approximately 5 years is ideal, with flexibility for strong candidates with less experience.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows and/or Mac hardware, software, applications, peripherals, and basic networking issues.
- Experience working with a service desk ticketing system and documenting technical issues accurately.
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week on-site in Minneapolis and lift up to 40 pounds.
Preferred Experience
- ServiceNow.
- JAMF.
- ITIL certification.
- CompTIA A+ certification.
This is a 6-month onsite contract opportunity with the Minneapolis client.
