Job Description
Role Overview: This registered nurse role involves performing a variety of clinical procedures under the supervision of the Site Manager, focusing on diagnosis and treatment of patients. The nurse provides patient-centered care, addressing biological, emotional, developmental, psychosocial, and educational needs across age groups, while demonstrating independent judgment and critical thinking skills.
Key Responsibilities
• Performing pre- and post-procedure patient care, including administering contrast, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques.
• Preparing patients and equipment for invasive, interventional, and surgical procedures.
• Ensuring patient safety through verification of identity, accurate documentation, and adherence to safety protocols.
• Providing education to patients and families, including post-procedure home care instructions.
• Maintaining departmental records, participating in quality assurance, and supporting system-wide medical imaging activities.
• Assisting with departmental tasks such as scheduling, equipment checks, and cross-departmental support.
Qualifications And Skills
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Current licenses and certifications including BLS, ACLS, and RN licensure (single-state or multi-state compact).
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Interventional Radiology, with strong skills in moderate sedation; ICU, CCU, ER, or cath lab experience preferred.
• Proficiency in English, computer skills, and excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, respond decisively to emergencies, and apply evidence-based nursing practices.
