Interventional Radiologist

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Radiologist to join its established Interventional Radiology specialty practice, primarily in Boise, Idaho. This role offers the opportunity to work with a team of Interventional Radiologists and Radiology APPs, providing advanced, innovative, and interventional services for patients with complex conditions. The position is based at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, a Regional Level II Trauma Center, and involves incorporating advanced imaging modalities with minimally invasive procedures.

• Part of Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG), a 650+ provider multispecialty group practice

• Primary location at Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (SARMC) in Boise, a Regional Level II Trauma Center

• Weekday procedures also provided at Saint Alphonsus Medical Center Nampa

• Limited coverage obligations at Saint Alphonsus Medical Centers in Ontario and Baker City, Oregon

• Interventional Radiology provider team includes four (4) Interventional Radiologists and five (5) Advanced Practice Providers

• Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center in Boise has 44 critical care beds, including a 22-bed Trauma Neurosurgery, Stroke and Medical ICU, a 10-bed CVICU, and a 10-bed CICU

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients with complex conditions by incorporating advanced imaging modalities with minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat a wide variety of diseases

• Perform embolization, thrombectomy, venous access, TIPS, aortic dissection, peripheral arterial disease, biopsies, ablations, stent placements, and other procedures based on training and community need

• Work primarily at the Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center (Level II Trauma Center)

• Participate in Weeknight and Weekend Interventional Call at SARMC

• Fulfill clinic, IR, and call responsibilities

Shift & Schedule

• Full Time

• Traditional work week plus call and hospital responsibilities that include evenings and weekends

• Clinic, IR, and call responsibilities

• Call shared equally with members of the Interventional Radiology Department

• Hospital Call is split between Radiologists and APPs to minimize call burden and after-hours support requirements

• Primary call location will be in Boise at SARMC

• Radiologists responsible for Weeknight and Weekend Interventional Call at SARMC

• APPs covering weekend days in Boise and Nampa for non-invasive IR support

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree

• Successful completion of an accredited ACGME/AOA residency program in Radiology

• Successful completion of an accredited Fellowship in Interventional Radiology

• Obtain Idaho and Oregon medical licensure

• Granting of privileges at SARMC-Boise and other health system affiliated hospitals as needed

• Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA
