Interventional Radiologist

The University of Miami Department of Interventional Radiology is seeking a Staff Physician to join one of the largest and highest volume Interventional Radiology departments in the country. This role involves providing minimally invasive image-guided diagnosis and treatment across various UM/JMH locations, serving over 21,000 patients annually. The physician will work within a premier academic institution, collaborating with a wide range of specialists to deliver excellent multidisciplinary care.

• Offers a full spectrum of IR clinical procedures, training, and research

• Serves over 21,000 patients a year

• Works with specialists across Liver Transplant, Hepatobiliary, Radiation Oncology, Urology, and Orthopedics

• Provides service at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, UHealth Tower Hospital, Jackson Memorial Hospital, satellite centers in Broward County (Plantation and Deerfield Beach), the Lennar Foundation Medical Center, and UHealth Doral

Responsibilities

• Interpret interventional radiology imaging studies and perform interventional procedures

• Assist in the development and implementation of new and innovative interventional procedures

• Evaluate patients both pre and post intervention

• Supervise performance of technical personnel

• Evaluate and consult new referrals and follow up patients in IR clinic

• Exercise quality assurance as related to the practice of interventional imaging

• Provide interventional imaging consultation as requested

• Provide emergency patient care as required in the setting of an Interventional radiology practice

• Be part of the on-call schedule in Interventional Radiology

• Assume administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Chairman related to the practice of interventional imaging

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an accredited Medical School (or foreign equivalent)

• Florida Medical License or equivalent

• American Board of Radiology Certification

• Completion of an ACGME approved Fellowship Program in Vascular Interventional
