Role Description The Integrative Oncology Nurse Practitioner is a full-time, on-site role based in Atlanta, GA. This role involves providing direct patient care to individuals with cancer and hematologic conditions, including comprehensive assessments, treatment planning, and ongoing symptom management. The Nurse Practitioner will integrate conventional oncology care with holistic and supportive therapies, collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members, and participate in care conferences. Daily responsibilities include reviewing diagnostics, ordering and interpreting lab work, prescribing medications and supportive treatments, educating patients and families on care plans, and documenting thoroughly in the medical record. The role also includes participating in quality improvement efforts, adhering to clinical guidelines and regulatory standards, and contributing to patient education materials and programs.
Qualifications
• Candidates should possess strong Nurse Practitioner and Nursing skills, including independent clinical decision-making and comprehensive patient assessment.
• Candidates should possess Oncology Nursing and Hematology skills, with experience managing cancer and blood disorders across the care continuum.
• Candidates should possess a solid foundation in Medicine, including evidence-based practice, diagnostics, pharmacology, and integrative treatment approaches.
• Active Nurse Practitioner license (state of Georgia or eligibility), national NP certification, and completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Prior experience in oncology, hematology, or integrative medicine settings is highly beneficial.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills, with the ability to build trust and support diverse patient populations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with oncology and integrative care best practices.
