Instructional Paraprofessional

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Paraprofessional to join our Team!QUALIFICATIONS: Must meet at least one of the following:1. At least two (2) years of study at an accredited institution of higher education (minimum of 60 credit hours)2. An associate degree (or higher)3. Meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate, through a formal state or local academic assessment:a. Knowledge of and the ability to assist in, instructing reading, writing, and mathematics; orb. Knowledge of and the ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics asappropriate.4. Passing scores of the MTTC:a. Basic Skills; orb. Professional Readiness5. Passing ETS Parapro assessment with passing score of 4606. Passing WorkKeys testNATURE OF THE POSITION:This is a federally funded position and is contingent upon the continuation of grant funding. This position is responsible for providing aid to instructional staff in meeting the objectives of the instructional program.RESPONSIBILITIES OF POSITION:1. Provide one-on-one or small group tutoring.2. Provide instructional support services under the supervision of a teacher.3. Provide monitoring services during testing sessions.4. Assist with behavior interventions.5. Assist with the Title 1 program: complete necessary paperwork for the Title 1 program.6. Prepare the classroom for subsequent instruction.7. Supervise pupils in learning center activities: computer lab, library, or media, etc.8. Read to children, listen to children read, explain assignments to children, etc.9. Respond to all levels of supervision.OTHER REQUIREMENTS:Satisfactory criminal background check.
