Role Description The Installation Technician role is a part-time, on-site position based in St Louis, MO. Day-to-day responsibilities include installing and configuring cabling and related equipment, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The technician will troubleshoot basic technical issues, test system performance, and document completed work. This role involves interacting with customers on-site, explaining installation steps or basic usage, and addressing minor concerns to support customer satisfaction. The Installation Technician will collaborate with team members, follow work orders and schedules, and maintain tools and materials in good working condition.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving basic technical or installation issues.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
- Experience or familiarity with cabling, wiring, and equipment installation, including safe handling of tools and materials.
- Focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to listen to concerns and provide clear, respectful responses.
- Basic mechanical or technical aptitude and ability to follow installation diagrams or instructions.
- Reliable transportation to job sites in and around St Louis, MO.
- Ability to work on-site, including standing, bending, and lifting moderate weights as part of installation tasks.
- High school diploma or equivalent; prior field installation or technical support experience is a plus.
