This position sits within Medical Affairs. Job Function: Medical Affairs Group. Job Sub Function: Medical Science Liaison. Job Category: Scientific/Technology. Job Posting Locations: Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan.
### What you will lead and deliver
You will be responsible for leading and achieving the success of a wide range of projects and tasks across MAF and DA (MAF, BU, R & D). You will drive performance and motivation of group members and the MAF team in your therapeutic area, and shape and execute MSL strategy, operations and capability development in collaboration with a group lead.
You should have knowledge equivalent to that of KOL/KI in relevant disease areas and be responsible for building a high level of trust with a certain number of KOL/KIs. You will contribute to improving knowledge across stakeholders, support formulation of MAPs for related disease areas, and help formulate MSL activity strategies. Using trends in the pharmaceutical industry (medical policies, administrative guidelines, etc.), you will develop topics and explain them with HCPs and internal stakeholders, acting with an understanding of research-related laws and regulations and research ethics.
Expect to teach PES skills, help others improve their skills, analyze insights gathered by group members, prioritize and visualize them as actionable activities, and propose these to internal stakeholders to contribute to MAP planning. You will plan and execute engagement for TOP KI, considering both your own targets and the overall group targets, and lead improvements in overall engagement.
You will contribute to medical strategy planning from an MSL perspective on an equal footing with a TA, communicate and lead strategic changes to colleagues and stakeholders, and lead tasks and projects that affect company-wide activities. Guiding other members, supporting planning and execution of projects, and delivering results that affect the entire MSL department are all part of the role. You will form a strategic vision for your group, conduct risk assessments and implement risk management at an appropriate level.
Negotiation and persuasion with internal personnel in managerial positions and above will be required. You are expected to provide opportunities for team members to be recognized within the company, build cross-departmental collaboration and networks, respond quickly to issues, and provide appropriate mentoring to MSL colleagues and those interested in the MSL department. You will openly discuss and lead compliance matters for all employees involved in our business and make appropriate risk-benefit judgments based on the Compliance Guidelines and the J&J Code of Conduct.

RELATED EXPERIENCE:
・Experience in the oncology
・2+ years experience in a pharmaceutical industry or medical institution is desirable
・Experience of clinical development, or medical affairs, or research is desirable
・Good presentation experience and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Power. Point
