A Registered Nurse RN Float is responsible for delivering adaptable nursing assistance across multiple units and departments as the situation demands. This position works closely with diverse healthcare teams to provide holistic patient care, aiming for uninterrupted transitions and upholding high standards of quality within a variety of clinical contexts.

Essential Job Function:
• Easily shifts from one department to another within the nursing setting, offering holistic support and care in diverse medical scenarios.
• Works alongside interdisciplinary groups, physicians, and support staff to provide patient-centered care and facilitate clear communication between units.
• - Performs in-depth examinations of patients' well-being and necessities, creating personalized care programs depending on individual conditions and health records.
• Utilizes quick responses to address emergencies and critical scenarios, delivering prompt nursing support and aid to stabilize patients.
• Aids in coordinating patient positioning, admissions, and movements, applying expertise in bed distribution and capacity planning to enhance the flow of patients throughout the healthcare institution.
• Undertakes tasks as designated by superiors.

Education:
• Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing.
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.

Experience:
• Required: 1 year as a registered nurse.
• Preferred: 1 year of clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or National Nursing Organizations.

Licensure/Certification/Listing:
• Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact State.
• BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
• If working in a critical care area, ACLS-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider is required.
