Our healthcare client is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to join its outpatient infusion team. This role is responsible for safely administering infusion therapies while delivering exceptional, patient-centered care to oncology patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
-Administer IV infusions including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, biologics, hydration, and supportive medications per physician orders and established protocols
-Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after infusion treatments, monitoring for adverse reactions and responding appropriately
-Establish and maintain venous access, including peripheral IV insertions and care of central lines/ports
-Educate patients and caregivers on treatment plans, potential side effects, and post-infusion care
-Accurately document all nursing care, medications, and patient responses in the EMR in real time
-Collaborate closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and clinic staff to coordinate safe and effective care
-Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant infusion area following safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
-Participate in emergency response procedures and provide high-level nursing judgment when patient conditions change
