Job Description
A teaching facility in Indiana is seeking an oncologist to provide locum tenens coverage with a balanced mix of clinic, inpatient care, and limited call responsibilities. In this role, you will practice a combined scope of oncology and hematology, with approximately 70% oncology and 30% hematology cases. Your time will be split between outpatient clinic and inpatient consults, averaging about 60% clinic and 40% hospital coverage. The patient population is predominantly pediatric, with roughly 90% pediatric patients and a smaller neonatal component. You can expect to see an average of 15 patients per day in the clinic and approximately four patients per day in the hospital. Call coverage is limited to one weekend per month, running from Friday evening through Monday morning, and there are no supervision responsibilities required in this academic setting.
