Human Tissue Biology Functional Lead

A leading organisation in the life sciences industry is seeking a Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant to join their team in Berkshire, UK. This role offers a unique chance to leverage your expertise in HTA (Human Tissue Act) legislation and the transportation of dangerous goods, ensuring compliance throughout the transfer process.





This role is a 12 month contract and is positioned at an Associate Director level.





KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:





Your duties as the Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:





- As the Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant, you will provide expert advice to the HTA DI on establishing an accurate inventory of HTA relevant material stored at the main HTA license location.

- As the Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant, you will guide the HTA DI through the completion of the HTA satellite application process.

- As the Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant, you will develop a business security plan for managing critical HTA relevant samples during the transition to the satellite site, including temporary off-site storage solutions.

- As the Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant, you will advise on the transportation of Human Tissues as dangerous goods.

- As the Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant, you will ensure the requirements of the HTA licence are maintained during the relocation process.

- As the Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant, you will prepare the satellite location for its first HTA inspection.

- As the Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant, you will review and recommend changes to HTA SOPs to ensure they are fit for purpose at the satellite location.

- As the Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant, you will occasionally contribute to hands-on activities related to the above tasks.









ROLE REQUIREMENTS:





To be successful in your application to this exciting role as the Human Tissue Compliance and Relocation Consultant we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:





- Relevant degree in a scientific or regulatory field.

- Extensive industry experience in HTA legislation and compliance.

- A working knowledge and practical experience with the transportation of dangerous goods.
