Job Description
We are seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician for an outpatient locum opportunity with flexible scheduling options and no call responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established oncology team with strong support staff and a manageable patient volume.
Assignment Details
• ASAP start
• Coverage through September/October 2026
• Full-time preferred
• Flexible scheduling options available
Schedule
Preferred
• Monday – Friday
• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Alternative Options
• 3–4 days per week
• 8 or 10-hour shifts
• Two physicians alternating 2-week blocks
Call
• No call required
• Scheduled clinic hours only
Practice Setting
• Outpatient Hematology/Oncology
• Epic / Beacon EMR
• Established infusion center
• Teaching environment
Clinical Responsibilities
• General Hematology and Oncology care
• Follow-up visits
• New patient consultations
• Treatment planning and management
• Occasional limited inpatient coverage on Friday afternoons as needed
• Resident teaching and supervision
Patient Volume
• Approximately 12–14 patients per day
• Typically 1–2 new patients daily
Clinical Focus
• Broad-spectrum oncology
• Comfortable treating most cancer types
• Hematology and oncology management
Support Staff
• Oncology RNs
• Medical Assistants
• Nurse Navigators
• Advanced Practice Providers
• Social Work support
• Financial counseling support
• Dedicated front office team
Requirements
• MD or DO
• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Hematology/Oncology Fellowship completed
• Fellowship certificate required prior to start
• Active Pennsylvania license preferred
• IMLC accepted with LOQ and qualifying state license
• Epic and Beacon proficiency required
Credentialing
• Full privileges available
• Temporary privileges available for qualified candidates
