Requirements MN License Required - Minnesota is not a member of the Nurse Licensure Compact NLC nor is it a part of the separate APRN Compact for advanced practice registered nurses.Start Date: ASAPM-F 8-4:30pmFTE Hematology/Oncology Advanced Practice Provider position. Open to Nurse Practitioners NP and Physician Assistants PA Outpatient-focused oncology practice with inpatient collaboration as needed Manage patients with solid tumors and hematologic malignancies Work closely with hematologist/oncologists infusion teams nurse navigators and support services Epic EMR for coordinated connected care Work Details:• Support staff: Yes• Amount of coverage needed per month: Part-time 2-3 shifts Mon -Fri• Patients per day: 11-16• Patient population/age: all ages• Department description: Hematology/Oncology total hospital size 686 beds• EMR: EPIC• Special procedures: Just hem/onc outpatient servicesPractice Setting: HospitalRequirements:• Board Certification: PA or APP• State license required: MN licenseWhy AHCI – New Ulm• Community-based oncology practice with access to a larger integrated cancer network AHCI across metro and regional sites. • Opportunity to practice full-spectrum medical oncology and hematology in a setting that values continuity of care and relationships. • Multidisciplinary care team onsite and via telehealth including: o Oncology Nurse Navigatoro Oncology Clinic RNs and LPNso Infusion nursing teamo Oncology Research nurseo Radiology department onsite. PETs including PSMA PETs MRI CT all available on site. o Laboratory dept onsite. o Dedicated Oncology Social worker dietitian mental health support financial navigator accesso Oncology Provider Coordinator support -support schedulingo Cancer rehabilitation and survivorship serviceso Palliative care and genetic counseling telehealth supported o Oncology/Infusion Department Nurse Managero Prior Authorization – centralized and supported by Allina ________________________________________What We Treat• Broad outpatient oncology and hematology populationo Solid tumor cancerso Hematologic conditions requiring active management • Patients receiving:o Chemotherapyo Immunotherapyo Oncology supportive therapies • Access to clinical trials through MMCORC and NCI-supported research programs when eligible – AHCI New Ulm has a dedicated research nurse________________________________________Practice Environment• Outpatient-focused practice with strong nursing and operational support• Clinic dept attached to Infusion dept Dedicated clinic staff:o RN Oncology Nurse Navigator Clinic RNs LPNs/CMAs and access to oncology provider coordinator o 5 Clinic exam rooms.• Infusion center includes:o Open infusion chairs and private treatment rooms 9 chairs 2 private infusion tx rooms 2 fast track triage rooms. o Infusion team structured to support:o High-acuity oncology treatmentso Safe administration and monitoring of therapies ________________________________________Support Resources• Oncology nurse navigation to assist with:o Coordination of careo Patient education and support• Integrated support services:o Financial counselingo Behavioral health and survivorship careo Rehabilitation services• Access to:o Clinical trialso Advanced cancer therapieso Telehealth specialty care Shift Info: Day 5x8-Hour 08:00 - 04:30
