Job Description
GHR Healthcare is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology/Oncology Physician for a 13-week locum tenens opportunity in Richmond, VA, from July 13, 2026, to October 12, 2026. This role involves primarily inpatient care with some outpatient coverage, focusing on adult patients. Practice Info
• Primarily inpatient with some outpatient coverage
• Manage an average daily census of approximately 12 to 15 patients
• Document care in EPIC electronic health records
• Support a collaborative care environment in a busy oncology setting
Responsibilities
• Provide hematology and oncology care for adult patients
• Deliver mostly inpatient coverage with some outpatient support
• Oversee and collaborate with a nurse practitioner
• Participate in call coverage as needed
• Support patient enrollment in clinical research studies when appropriate
• Manage an average daily census of approximately 12 to 15 patients
• Document care in EPIC electronic health records
• Support a collaborative care environment in a busy oncology setting
Compensation
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $10,030 - $11,880
• Weekly Direct Deposit is a standard benefit for both employees and contractors

Shift & Schedule
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Requirements
• Board Certified in Hematology/Oncology
• Active Virginia medical license
• BLS certification
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Clean background required
• NPDB self-query report required within 30 days of presentation
• Experience overseeing advanced practice providers preferred
• Interest in enrolling patients in research studies preferred
