Contract Details:
Shift Details: 8am–5pm, no call
Schedule: 3 days/week is preferred
Support staff: APP support and 3 docs
Patients per day: ~15/day, low volume, solo provider
Department description: 60/40 Hem/Onc
EMR: Meditech
Locums providers will sit on tumor board
New vs. follow-up ratio: Approximately 20% new patients / 80% follow-ups.
Infusion supervision requirements: Standard medical oncology supervision model; no unique or additional supervision requirements beyond typical practice standards.
Hematology vs. solid tumor mix: Approximately 60% hematology / 40% solid tumor.
High-acuity patients: The practice does not routinely manage high-acuity cases such as acute leukemias on-site; those are typically referred to tertiary centers.
APP coverage: one APP on-site daily.
APP visit scope: APPs primarily assist with follow-ups and supportive care visits; independent follow-ups may occur based on clinic needs and provider comfort.
Notes and orders: APPs assist with documentation and orders in collaboration with the physician; not physician-only.
RN/infusion support: Dedicated oncology-trained RNs support infusion services during clinic hours.
Practice Setting: Clinic/Private Practice: outpatient
Board Certification: Board Certified - hematology or medical oncology
