Job Description
Hematology/Oncology APP Locums Opportunity
A facility is seeking an experienced Hematology/Oncology or Acute Care Advanced Practice Provider for an inpatient locums assignment running from July 2026 through January 2027. This position offers a collaborative inpatient environment with scheduled clinical coverage and night call responsibilities.
Assignment Details
•
Coverage dates: 7/6/2026 – 1/8/2027
•
Must be available for the full assignment duration
•
Schedule:
•
Four weekday shifts per week
•
8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
•
Two inpatient night calls required
•
Night call hours: 5:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Practice Setting
•
Inpatient hematology/oncology service
•
Average inpatient census: approximately 25 patients per day
•
Patient load shared between inpatient physician and APP
•
Supported by:
•
Operations Director
•
APP Team Lead
•
Inpatient RN staff
•
Epic EMR preferred, though training available for the right candidate
Requirements
•
Active Indiana license required at presentation
•
Active Indiana DEA or easily transferable DEA required
•
Active CSR required
•
Hematology/Oncology experience preferred but not required
•
Candidates with hospitalist or acute care experience also encouraged to apply
•
Must be comfortable performing special procedures
Ideal Candidate
•
Experienced APP with strong inpatient clinical skills
•
Comfortable managing high patient volumes in a collaborative environment
•
Interested in continuity coverage through the full assignment duration
