Centra Medical Group is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified Hematology Oncology Physician to join a diverse and passionate group at the Alan B. Pearson Cancer Center in Lynchburg, Virginia. This role offers the opportunity to work in a recently renovated, comprehensive cancer center that is the community's most referred practice. The position provides excellent support from various specialists and staff, focusing on delivering high-quality patient care and participating in clinical trials.

• Excellent support from pathologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, interventional radiologists, general surgeons, and subspecialists.

• Onsite genetic counselor provides comprehensive genetic counseling and testing.

• Patients are enrolled in NSABP and NCI cancer clinical trials.

Responsibilities

• Mainly outpatient care.

• Inpatient consults.

• 24/7 availability, on call MD.

• MD Call is 1:7.

• APP oversight, with a goal of 1 NP to 1 MD.

• Opportunity for a leadership role in practice.

• Represent Hem/Onc at Tumor Board.

• Participate in Weekly Breast Tumor Conference (1 hour) and Thoracic Tumor Conference (30 mins).

Compensation

• $600K Base + production + incentives

• $60K Sign-on Bonus

• $15K Relocation

• Up to $120K Student loan reimbursement (max allowed half of total loan amount and not to exceed $120K payable over 6 years)

• Paid malpractice insurance with tail

Requirements

• Completion of medical degree and residency/fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology.

• MD/DO with certification by an American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS) board in physician's primary specialty.

• Must be board certified or in the process of certifying.

• J-1 visa sponsorship available.
