Job Description

A prominent academic medical center in a New York City borough is seeking a fellowship-trained Hematologist/Oncologist to join a rapidly expanding Division of Hematology/Oncology. This permanent opportunity is available due to significant growth across Southern Westchester County and the Bronx.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a physician who wants to combine high-level clinical practice with clinical and translational research in a nationally recognized academic program. The incoming physician will join a large, well-established division with strong infrastructure, multidisciplinary collaboration, and access to an NCI-designated Cancer Center.

Clinical Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care in both inpatient and outpatient settings
• Manage patients with broad malignant hematology and solid tumor diagnoses
• Participate in a hybrid schedule consisting of approximately 3 inpatient days and 2 outpatient days per week
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary care teams, subspecialists, advanced practice providers, nursing teams, and research staff
• Participate in interdisciplinary conferences, tumor boards, and care planning discussions
• Support continued program expansion across Southern Westchester County and the Bronx
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within Epic EMR
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care in an academic medical center setting

Qualifications
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Hematology/Medical Oncology fellowship
• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology
• Board certification preferred
• True Board Eligible candidates will be considered
• Demonstrated interest in academic medicine, research, and teaching
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and commitment to multidisciplinary care
• Interest in building a long-term academic career within a growing Hematology/Oncology program
