Key Responsibilities
• Deliver comprehensive hematology and oncology care, including effective diagnosis, treatment planning, and follow-up.
• Analyze lab, imaging, and pathology results to inform evidence-based treatment decisions.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, radiation oncologists, nurses, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate actively in tumor boards, case conferences, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Educate patients and families about their conditions, treatment options, risks, and expected outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of clinical encounters, orders, and care plans in the EMR.
• Support clinical research and ensure adherence to clinical trial protocols when applicable.
• Supervise and mentor Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), residents, or fellows as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Engage in continuing medical education and professional development opportunities.

Required Skills
• Expertise in Hematology/Oncology clinical practices.
• Experience in chemotherapy and immunotherapy management.
• Proficient in performing bone marrow biopsies and related procedures.
• Ability to interpret lab and imaging studies effectively.
• Proficiency in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems.
• Familiarity with clinical research and clinical trials.
• Excellent communication skills for patient and family engagement.
• Strong coordination skills for multidisciplinary care.
• Commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
• Knowledge of palliative and supportive care planning.
