Hematologist​/Oncologist

This cancer center in Dalton, GA is seeking a locum tenens MD for hematology and oncology coverage from January and ongoing. Clinicians will provide on-site outpatient care with a primary focus on the infusion center, managing a small patient volume with no call obligations. The role features a dedicated clinical support team and utilizes the EPIC EMR system for documentation.

Practice Info
• Cancer center attached to an acute care hospital, providing specialized hematology and oncology services within a structured on-site outpatient setting
• Clinical support team includes two APPs in the clinic, one APP in the infusion center, and two nurses
• Adult patient population

Responsibilities
• Provide on-site outpatient hematology and oncology coverage with a primary focus on the infusion center
• Evaluation and management of hematologic and oncologic conditions within an outpatient setting, managing 5-7 patients per day
• Perform inpatient consultations only when the attending physician is unavailable, as designated
• Maintain all clinical documentation through the EPIC EMR system

Shift & Schedule
• Dates needed:
January - Ongoing
• Day shift, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• No call required
