Hematologist​/Oncologist

This locum tenens opportunity in Waterbury, Connecticut seeks an MD to provide weekend coverage at a free-standing cancer center. The clinician will manage an adult patient population, handling general hematology and oncology cases while participating in tumor boards and maintaining clinical documentation through EPIC EMR. Call coverage and prescriptive authority are required for this role.

• Clinical team includes a hematologist/oncologist, two APPs, and RNs

Responsibilities
• Deliver weekend clinic services for an adult patient population
• Manage 15-18 patients per day
• Provide general hematologic and oncologic care (approximately 40% hematology and 60% oncology)
• Participate in tumor boards
• Provide call coverage
• Maintain all clinical documentation through the EPIC EMR system for patient encounters and treatment planning activities
